Dues

We pay dues as members so that we can afford the resources we need to win and change our lives, such as legal support, strike funds, and organizing resources. Paying dues builds our power as workers. If we each contribute a little, we can join together to create something much bigger than ourselves. We pay dues because this is our union—we own it, and it’s up to us to make it work.

If you are experiencing severe financial hardship, such as being unemployed, we will waive your dues so that you can remain a member in good standing (apply for a waiver here).

Contribuimos cuotas para proveer los recursos que necesitamos para cambiar nuestras vidas, como consejo legal, el fondo de huelga, y recursos para organización. Construimos nuestro poder colectivo cuando pagamos cuotas. Si todos contribuyen poco, podemos construir algo más grande que nosotros. Pagamos cuotas porque esto es nuestra unión—lo poseemos y es nuestra responsabilidad cuidarlo.

Si tienes dificultades financieras graves, como estar desempleado, te eximimos de sus cuotas para que puedas seguir siendo un miembro (pide una exención aquí).
